Our health and safety measures against Covid-19
At STØTT – Top of Helgeland, our highest priority is your health and safety. We continuously adapt our measures to the recommendations and guidelines set by the Norwegian health authorities. In order to limit the risk of COVID-19 outbreaks, we strictly adhere to all applicable health regulations from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI) and Meløy Municipality. With this in mind, we have also done a risk analysis and formulated our own HSE Plan for this purpose. We want to be at the forefront when it comes to preventing and limiting infections. Our goal is that you, our guest at Støtt, shall be safe and feel safe.
As soon as you arrive at Støtt, you will receive thorough information about our current infection prevention measures. Please note that every single one of our employees has received thorough training in how to implement and follow current health regulations and guidelines.
If you travel to Norway from another countries, you have an obligation to familiarise yourself with applicable Norwegian regulations and restrictions regarding Covid-19. These are continuously updated on the website of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI) – https://www.fhi.no/en
If you suspect that you or someone in your family or group has a Covid-19 infection, call the Emergency Clinic at tel. 116117.
If your condition is urgent or life-threatening, please call 113 immediately. This is the number for Medical Emergency & Ambulance.
Our general rules at STØTT – Top of Helgeland:

Stay home if you feel unwell or have symptoms such as a fever, cough or other respiratory symptoms. Contact a doctor and take a Covid test.

If you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 or are in quarantine, do NOT come to Støtt!

Wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap and warm water for at least 30 seconds. Then use a hand sanitizer.

Keep a safe and respectful distance of at least 2 metres from other guests.

Avoid large gatherings.

Avoid touching your face.

Do not shake hands.

Hygiene measures Restaurant Gammelbutikken // Accommodation in the Bakery, Rorbua and Stabburet
- We are very careful about preserving the health of our staff; they are not allowed to come to work if they show any signs of any of the symptoms associated with Covid.
- Everyone who stays or dines with us is registered, so that we have data to enable contact tracing in case of infection.
- At all times, we limit the number of guests in our restaurant, and enforce the limits and regulations that apply to events, conferences and social gatherings.
- We have implemented new and expanded cleaning routines in our restaurant, on the outdoor terrace, in all rooms, toilets, and in all of our common areas.
- Hand sanitizers have been placed throughout our facilities.
- We limit buffets and mainly serve dishes at the table.
- In order to maintain a distance of at least 2 metres between tables, our restaurant now seats guests at fixed times and on two separate floors.
- We have removed unnecessary objects from the rooms.
- All surfaces and equipment are disinfected / cleaned several times each day.
Hygiene measures for our activities and adventures
- No one is allowed to participate in our activities if they show any symptoms of illness, have tested positive for Covid, or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive or is in quarantine.
- In addition to the general rules for hygiene and distancing, we follow the recommended guidelines for each activity with regards to disinfection and cleaning of equipment.
Cancellation // Rebooking
In these challenging times, many people inquire about our rebooking and cancellation terms. During the pandemic, we are extra flexible. We offer free cancellation up to as little as two (2) days in advance of your arrival date. Please note that excursions and activities that depend on transport may be cancelled at short notice due to bad weather.
