Reservation terms, cancellation policy
and conditions for your stay at Støtt
1. About these terms
All rooms, rorbu stays and stays with meals are sold in accordance with the terms specified below. By booking a stay with us, you confirm that you agree to these terms. The terms apply to private individuals, hereafter referred to as “you” or “the guest”, as well as to groups.
2. Reservations and payment
2.1 Støtt accepts reservations made by persons over 18 years of age.
2.2 By making reservations with us, you accept these terms and conditions. When a group places an order, every participant in the group accepts these terms.
2.3 When making a reservation, you will receive written notification confirming your reservation of the room / rorbu. When you receive the confirmation, please check the details carefully and inform us immediately if see any errors. You are responsible for keeping us informed of any changes to your contact information.
3. Deposit for groups of 8 or more people
A deposit of 20% of the total accommodation price must be paid at the time of booking. The remaining amount must be paid during your stay, at check-out. Credit shall not be extended unless a special agreement has been entered into in advance with Støtt’s General Manager.
4. Cancellations
If you wish to cancel the reservation, you must notify Støtt in writing. Your written notice of cancellation will be effective from the date we receive it.
Cancellation policy for individuals and groups of up to 7 persons:
To avoid payment, the guest(s) must cancel their booking no later than 48 hours (i.e. by 2pm CET two days before arrival). For cancellations after this deadline, guests must pay 100% of the price of their stay.
Cancellation policy for groups of 8 persons or more:
For cancellation later than 30 days before arrival, the group will be invoiced 50% of the total amount.
For cancellation later than 14 days before arrival, the group will be invoiced 100% of the total amount.
Any payment is due within 7 days of the cancellation date.
5. Prices
Støtt reserves the right to adjust prices in accordance with changes in government fees and taxes, and other fees beyond our control.
6. Cancellation by Støtt
If we find ourselves forced to cancel your reservation, you will be informed of this as soon as possible. You will receive a full refund of any amount paid, unless we cancel due to a Force Majeure. If Støtt is forced to cancel an order, we are not liable for any other expenses you may have incurred as a result of the cancellation.
7. Events that are unforeseen and inevitable (Force Majeure)
Støtt does not assume responsibility for the consequences of war, the threat of war, riots, civil disruptions, industrial conflicts, actual or threatened terrorist activity and its consequences, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, epidemics and other health risks, unavoidable and unpredictable technical problems with transportation due to reasons beyond our control or that of our suppliers, closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potentially adverse weather conditions, or other similar events. If such occurrences result in Støtt having to cancel a booking, we will try to offer an alternative, but we do not assume any responsibility for refunding any fees and/or deposits paid prior to the cancellation or shortening of the stay.
8. Services provided by a third party
Støtt utilises third-party providers of activities and transportation. We disclaim responsibility for unforeseen events involving the delivery of services by such third parties.
9. Your responsibilities
9.1 As a guest, you are obliged to comply with rules and regulations issued by the authorities and representatives of group organisers and/or tour operators. This includes any and all rules of conduct issued by transportation carriers, instructors, etc.
9.2 Guests who behave in a manner that is of nuisance to employees, guides and/or other guests may be removed from Støtt, and, if so, must bear the cost of their return travel. Guests are responsible for damage caused to buildings, furnishings, equipment, fixtures and fittings at Støtt, and they are liable for fully reimbursing such damages.
10. Visas and travel requirements
Passports are required for all persons travelling to Norway from a country outside the Schengen Area. We recommend that guests always bring a passport. If a visa is required for your travel to Norway, then you are responsible for ensuring that a visa is granted to you in a timely manner.
11. Complaints
Should you be dissatisfied with the service we offer, we request that you please inform us as soon as possible so that we may rectify the problem and resolve the situation. If the complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction during your stay, then you should lodge a written complaint within 28 days. Any and all disputes are regulated by Norwegian law.
12. Rights related to the use of text and photographs
In connection with some of our activities, we may publish text, video and photos at www.stott.no. By participating in our activities, you agree that we have the right to use photos of you on our website.
