History
All of the major trading posts along the coast had stabbur for storage of grains and other foods. Støtt’s stabbur dates from the 1700s; it is believed to be the oldest building on the island. The lumber and other building materials must have been brought by sea. Our charming Stabburet looks like it’s taken right out of an old painting.
