Imagine kayaking Norway’s most beautiful coast on a clear winter night, while the Northern Lights are dancing in the sky above you! That’s the incredible adventure you can experience at Støtt.

Our archipelago is situated just north of the Arctic Circle. The islands, islets and skerries are especially beautiful after a snowfall – especially when seen from a kayak as you explore our sheltered waters.

Støtt Old Trading Post is an ideal holiday base. You might well experience the Northern Lights right outside the door. But there is a good chance you can combine kayaking with witnessing the dance of the Northern Lights. There is something deeply tranquil and soothing about being out on the water, where the only sounds are gentle waves and perhaps a light breeze, while the sky is on fire with Northern Lights.

At Støtt, the arctic light has many moods: glowing dawns, fiery sunsets and moonlit nights.

You need not be an experienced kayaker. Our experienced guide provides expert instruction and chooses an excursion that matches your level of skill – and of course takes into account the weather conditions. The guide keeps you safe and ensures that you are comfortable with the challenge. You will soon have the satisfying feeling of mastery.

Naturally, we cannot guarantee when the Northern Lights will make their appearance, but we can promise you a rewarding kayaking adventure, exciting stories and great memories.
