Your adventure

Join us on a trip to Svartisen, the second-largest glacier in mainland Norway. It is situated just north of the Arctic Circle. To see a real glacier up close is a very exotic experience. Moreover, the beauty of its magnificent surroundings is overwhelming!

Støtt is ideally situated for a visit to Svartisen. On this full-day excursion, we’ll tell you how the glacier was formed, how massive ice has sculpted the landscape, and how climate change is impacting Svartisen and other glaciers.

Naturally our voyage starts at Støtt. We’ll speed across the waves in a RIB sea raft, dock in the harbour below Svartisen and hike up to the edge of the glacier. Our guide will share insights and stories about the glacier and the surrounding area.

We’ll either enjoy a packed lunch or dine at the nearby café.
